Our internships seek candidates in the following fields; Engineering, Information Technology, Finance and Accounts, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Mass Communications, Procurement as well as other related fields. Successful interns are posted to any of our operational areas.

Internship Intakes 

Internship will be available at the following preferable times of the year:
          1. January – April
          2. July –September
          3. October – December

Applications for the intake of January - April are received in November, those of June - September intake are received in May whereas those of October - December intake are received in August.

Students will be required to choose any period in the above schedules that best suits their interest. However, it is possible that if the student is accepted for an internship, they may be advised to change the preferred period to fit the organization’s working schedule. The selection shall be on a first come basis. The selected interns will be absorbed and placed according to the available slots within the Municipal Council.

The students selected for internship must be still pursuing their studies in their respective institutions of learning. These trainees shall NOT be paid any allowance whatsoever.

Graduate Trainee

Makindye Ssabagabo Municipal Council offers a number of opportunities that provide learning and capacity building opportunities for graduate students, University and College students and junior professionals. Slots for graduate trainees can be in the following fields; Engineering, Information Technology, Finance and Accounts, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Mass Communications, Procurement and other related fields.
