On Monday 19th October 2020, a technical team at Municipal Headquarters conducted an information dissemination exercise on the Micro-Scale Irrigation Program.

 

The Micro-Scale Irrigation Program helps (supports) one to buy and use irrigation equipment. The program is led by the central government under the Department of Agricultural Infrastructure Mechanisation and Water for Agricultural Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).

 

The program is part of Uganda's National Irrigation Policy, which aims to create more irrigated land in the country.
