In this FY 2025/2026, the Education Department received funding (Education grant) from the Central Government to support UPE and USE schools in the Municipality. The funds were allocated to:
- Lubugumu Jamia Secondary School – Construction of a 4 stored classroom block.
- Aggrey Memorial Secondary School – Construction of a 2 classrooms block.
- Busabala Primary School – Construction of a 2 classrooms block.
- Bunamwaya CU Primary School – Construction of a 2 units staff house.
On the 12th/ 2/2026, groundbreaking ceremonies at the above schools was officiated by the Deputy Mayor, Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk, Assistant RDC, Political leaders, Principal Education Officer, respective Senior Assistant Town Clerks, School management and concerned community members.
